About
Weave poles are one of the most technical obstacles in dog agility. A dog may understand the basic weaving motion but still struggle with entries, exits, independence, speed, footwork, commitment, distractions, or maintaining criteria when the poles are included in a course. This three-hour workshop focuses on identifying why weave pole problems are occurring and selecting exercises that address the specific weakness instead of repeatedly sending the dog through a full set of poles. Dogs will work through targeted exercises using: Channel weaves 2x2 weave poles Regulation weave poles Entry and exit guide wires Reward placement Short sequences Handler motion and proofing exercises This is not a beginning weave pole class. The workshop is designed for teams that have already introduced weave poles but need help improving reliability, confidence, speed, or independence.
